GB3OA - Southport's 2M REPEATER on RV49
    Real time node Monitor
Latest UPDATE - FEBRUARY 2006
We thought it time to update everyone on the progress on the repeater.

As far as equipment goes, everything is to plan, the repeater itself is built and tested and is currently on soak test. It can be taken down to the site and installed once the NOV has been received. The cavity / filter set is also ready, we're trying to sort a convenient date for installing it at the site. From previous updates, you'll know that the aerials are already up and waiting. A 19 inch cabinet is already in place and will be used to house the repeater.

As some may be aware, there have been changes in the way that repeater applications are now handled. A new web site exists that explains it all. It can be found at http://www.ukrepeater.net

http://www.ukrepeater.net/vetting.htm tells us that our application has cleared the RIS, and is now with NFAP. This should be the last hurdle, and once we've cleared that, the NOV should follow shortly after.

http://www.ukrepeater.net/gb3oa.htm is "our" page on the ukrepeater site. Please take time to look through the ukrepeater.net site, it's very informative.
