There is no need
to use a 1750Hz toneburst to gain access to this
repeater - you need to use a CTCSS tone of 82.5Hz at all times.
Once in, the logic (an ICS Linker II), acts like most other standard
repeater controllers. There are no “bells and whistles”.
The timeout is
set for five minutes and the repeater won’t reset until the input channel becomes clear.
Also, GB3OA is connected
to both the IRLP and Echolink networks. Its node number on both systems is
5302. Please become familiar with operating techniques for Internet
Linking before using this facility by looking at the instructions on this
web site
here.
Especially in these two
modes we request that consideration is given to other users by operating the
repeater thoughtfully. It’s been
provided by members of the Southport & District Amateur Radio Club for
everyone’s enjoyment.
